Granville Rescue Receives ambulance



Granville Rescue has taken delivery and put into service our new ambulance. This unit is a 2023 PL Custom ambulance. The chassis is a Fort E-450 with the 7.3 gasoline engine. The module is 170” with 72” of headroom and includes new safety features such as provider securing harnesses in lieu of the standard seat belts. We have also retained the current committee to start developing plans to replace our 2016 F-450 in the next year.



GRANTS PROVIDE EQUIPMENT UPGRADES



Granville Rescue received funding this spring and has now procured new Slishman Traction Splints for each ambulance and for our off-road equipment. This was made possible by the Stewarts Shops Holiday Match program. We have also secured funding for video laryngoscopes for each of our units. This was made possible by the generosity of the Granville Community Foundation. Both programs would not be possible without the generosity of the donors in and around our community. Thank you for helping Granville Rescue in our mission!



GRANTS ALLOW TRAINING UPGRADES



GRS has been awarded grants to upgrade our CPR AED trainers. These devices mostly used to train students from other community groups, fire companies, or businesses when we host CPR courses. Our current devices have seen tremendous use over the past years and are in need of upgrade. If anyone would like to learn more about attending one of our CPR or First Aid courses, please contact Lt. GRANVILLE RESCUE ORders power loads



GRS has been the recipient of the 2022 Assistance to Firefighters Grant. Utilizing this funding with supplemental budget money we will soon be adding two Stryker Power Loads to our fleet. These units work in conjunction with our current stretchers to lift the stretcher into the ambulance. This method has been proven to reduce injury to EMS providers. We are extremely grateful to receive this grant.
